Gold Rush

Gold is valuable because it is rare and looks attractive, gold is found as very small flecks in the quartz veins of hard rocks.
You would find alluvial gold come from the rocks once they have been worn down. Where it be, there it be. 
Gold is found in NZ in six different places and they are Otago, Southland, West Coast, Golden Bay, Marlborough and Coromandel peninsula.
