Reading

Today I have been doing reading and the book is called olly's new bike and the book is from Melissa Leighton and we had to answer some questions about the book and had is when I have done.

Describe Olly’s personality
He was ungrateful at the start then when he got his new bike he felt happy and excited.

How did Olly feel when he got his new bike?
He felt amazed

Why did Olly feel like this?
He felt amazed because it looked new.

Predict what would happen if Mohamed hadn’t moved in next door. Olly would not have a bike that looked new and be sad all day.

I also did a task and this is what i have done.

I hope you enjoy it.

Te Tiriti o Waitangi

On Tuesday we had to watch a video and fill out a sheet with questions about the Tiriti of Waitangi.

The Maori population in the late 1830's was about 10,000 - 70,000.

The two main reason for the drop in population was diseases and wars.

The name of the main settlement in Aotearoa New Zealand at this time? You need to give the Te roe Maori and the English name of the town, Russel the  Maori name for Russel is koroareka.

The rangatira and missionaries unhappy with what was happening in the town was The British were taking over and there was unfair trade.

WHICH IS THE WINDEST AREA AND WHY?
WHICH IS THE CALMEST AREA AND WHY?
WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE ON LAND TO BUILD A WINDMILL?

1. The field is the windiest as the cars come past and make a lot of wind plus its a big space.
2. The Tennis court is the calmest as its all fenced off and there would be very little wind.
3. The best place to build a windmill would have to be the old J block site because people won't be over there most of the time and it's also out of the way of the children
